Error Codes

Transform API

If an error is returned, the API will return a error HTTP status code and a textual description.

HTTP Code Description
400

Bad Request - This could happen for a few reasons:

  • Base64 URL could not be decoded.
  • URL is not a valid URL.
  • Options has and invalid format or value.
  • No dimensions - Either a w, h, or p was not specified.
403

Forbidden - This could happen for a few reasons:

  • The signature was invalid. See API Basics for examples of how to sign requests.
408

Request Timeout - This could happen for a few reasons:

  • The requested w and h would result in an image that is larger than the maximum allowed. See Limits.
  • The requested pixels would result in an image that is larger than the maximum allowed. See Limits.
  • The requested URL is larger than the maximum allowed. See Limits.
413

Request Entity Too Large - This could happen for a few reasons:

  • The request URL could not be downloaded in the time allowed. See Limits.
415

Unsupported Media Type - This could happen for a few reasons:

  • The request URL is not in a supported format. See API Basic for the supported formats.
500

Internal Server Error - An unexpected error occured while processing the image.

502

Bad Gateway - This could happen for a few reasons:

  • The URL host could not be resolved.
  • The requested pixels would result in an image that is larger than the maximum allowed. See Limits.
